- Cut two different coloured A4 sheets of card in half lengthways and fold each piece in half to make and A6 rectangle. Draw a pencil line 10.5cm up from the fold across the card.
- Use a compass to draw a curve on the unfolded edge and four lines down the card, 1.8cm apart. Cut along these lines up as far as the horizontal line. (pic a)
- Keeping the pieces of card folded, weave the first strip on one piece into the second but make sure it goes inside and outside the folds rather then above and below.
- Push the weave up towards the curve of the card and begin to weave the second strip in the same way but go outside if you went inside to start with. (pic b)
- Continue weaving in this way so that the bag will open when finished. The last strip will be trickiest but if you’ve pushed the card up towards the curved end each time it will fit. (pic c)
- Cut two flower shapes from coloured card and curl the petals of one with your thumbnail. Layer them together and add stick on felt flowers for extra decoration. (pic d)
