1. Draw a 10cm diameter circle onto scrap card and use a protracter to divide it into 10 equal sections. Use these lines to mark out a star shape as a template
  2. Cut a piece of coloured card 21cm square. Fold in half and glue together firmly. Trace around the template twice onto the double thickness card and cut out. Use a needle to make two holes in each star. (pic a)
  3. Cut a 5.5cm by 21cm piece of card and fold in 1.5cm on each long edge. Fold the strip in half in the other direction. Measure the length of one side of the star and make concertina folds in the strip the same length, starting from the centre. (pic b)
  4. Unfold the strip, fix double-sided tape along each edge and snip into the folds so the card can be bent and stuck to the stars to make a bag. (pic c)
  5. Stick a padded fabric decoration to the centre of each star. Use glitter glue pens to add spots and swirls around the embellishment and let this dry.
  6. Cut a length of gold cord and tie a knot in one end. Thread the cord through one hole from the inside and add lots of metallic beads to make a handle. Thread the cord through both holes on the other side of the bag, make another handle and tie the cord to the original knot. (pic d)
