- Write the word ‘Mum’ in mirror writing on a piece of pink felt leaving a space between each letter. Cut around the lines with scissors. (pic a)
- Spread PVA glue over the marked side of the felt letters and glue them down the length of a fabric bookmark leaving a big gap between each one. (pic b)
- Take one colour of 3D fabric paint and draw a swirl or spiral coming from the top corner of the bookmark. Draw another spiral coming off the first in the opposite direction.
- Change colour and draw another spiral flourish coming from the other edge of the bookmark. (pic c)
- Keep drawing swirly shapes in different colours all over the bookmark to fill in all the space around the letters.
- Use the yellow fabric paint to add lots of little dots in all the spaces that are left and leave the bookmark to dry completely. (pic d)
