- Cut a piece of white cotton fabric 20cm by 15cm and lay flat on some newspaper. Cut several small heart shapes from scrap card and fix to the fabric using double-sided tape.
- Use pink and yellow textile spray paint to spray stripes across the fabric then leave to dry (you could also sponge on fabric paint if you’d prefer). Peel off the hearts to reveal the white areas underneath. (pic a)
- Cut a large heart shape from the centre of some card and fix to the fabric with tape. Spray red paint through the stencil – or sponge some on - and remove, then leave to dry. (pic b)
- Fold the fabric in half so the design is on the inside and stitch across the bottom and up one side.
- Turn the fabric right side out and fill the bag with a mixture of dried lavender and fibre stuffing. Fold in the top edges of the bag and over-sew to close. (pic c)
- Tie a length of narrow red ribbon around the bag to make a parcel and finish with a neat bow. (pic d)
