- Paint the inside of a star box and its lid with white acrylic, and the outside in gold. (pic a)
- Draw around the star shape onto self-adhesive blue foam and cut out the shape slightly inside the line. (pic b)
- Stick the foam inside the box or lid and dot with PVA glue. Sprinkle some silver glitter onto the glue.
- Cut tiny Christmas tree shapes from green foam and stick to the blue background. (pic c)
- Add a hillside from white foam and make it 3-dimensional by packing it out with small squares of foam on the back. Stick this in the box.
- Stick a wooden snowman, reindeer or Santa to the hillside, and add gold hanging cord to the top of the box. (pic d)
