- Copy the design of St George and the dragon from the template onto an A5 piece of paper. Cut the plastic sheet from the window paint kit down to the same size and tape over the top.
- Starting from the centre of the design, apply the window paints by lightly touching the plastic with the nozzle of the tube and squeezing gently. Draw fine outlines first of all, and then fill in the space with the paint. (pic a)
- You can blend two colours if necessary; to make silver for the armour draw a line of black and a line of white and mix the colours using a paintbrush. Leave the painting to dry completely in a warm place. (pic b)
- Cut a 20cm by 14cm rectangle from the centre of an A4 sheet of black foam. Cut the edge of the A4 sheet into a fancy design to look like a frame (see template). Decorate the frame with patterns cut from red self-adhesive foam and then lay on a sheet of newspaper. (pic c)
- Lightly spray the frame with gold paint so that you can still see bits of red and black. When dry, turn the frame over and fix double-sided tape all around the aperture. (pic d)
- Place the painting face down on the tape to secure in the frame and cover the back with a sheet of yellow tissue paper so the plastic looks like old glass.
