1. Draw around the larger set of wings onto pale blue poster board, then cut out and put to one side. Draw several circles on the smaller wings to make a symmetrical design.
  2. Paint the circles with PVA glue and sprinkle on blue or purple iridescent glitter, shaking off the excess onto a piece of paper to use again. When dry, paint the rest of the smaller wings with PVA glue, adding white iridescent glitter as you go. (pic a)
  3. Once dry, turn the wings over and position the larger blue wings over them. Press down on the card to feel where the eyelets are, and cut a ‘T’ shape out of the blue wings. Fold the edges of the ‘T’ and slide the blue wings between the two card wings until they line up. Glue into place. (pic b)
  4. Bend a blue pipe cleaner into a tall ‘U’ shape. Twist a purple and silver pipe cleaner onto the bottom of one side of the ‘U’. Fan out the pipe cleaners and bend the ends into neat spirals. (pic c)
  5. Thread the other side of the pipe cleaner through the eyelet holes in the wings. Twist pipe cleaners to this side of the ‘U’ and bend into spirals as before. Do the same for the other side of the wings.
  6. Decorate the edges of the larger wings with stick on glitter snowflakes and glue a rectangle of card around the joining strip of the wings to support the extra weight.
