1. Roll a piece of paper around a plastic cup and mark on the inside where the top and bottom are. Unwrap to reveal two curved lines and use this as a template to make a curved crown shape that will fit the cup.
  2. Trace around the template onto the back of some gold card and cut out, leaving a small tab on one side for fastening. Draw on the points of the crown to about half-way down the card and cut out. (pic a)
  3. Cut some narrow strips of gold glitter sheet and fix across the crown. Glue gold gems to the base of each point and then secure the crown around the cup with double-sided tape. (pic b)
  4. Make a napkin ring by rolling a 5cm wide piece of gold card into a tube and fixing with double-sided tape. Add glitter strips and gold star gems to decorate. (pic c)
  5. Create decorations for drinking straws by cutting a crown shape from gold card and punching two holes down the centre near the base.
  6. Add glitter strips and glue on gemstones. When the glue is dry thread a straw through the two holes. (pic d)
