- Draw several circles onto yellow and green foam and cut out. You will need one large one for the head and lots of medium and small ones for the body and tail. (pic a)
- Stick the edge of one circle onto the edge of another and continue like this, alternating the yellow and green foam, to make a wiggly caterpillar.
- Glue two craft sticks to the back of the caterpillar and then fix a strip of self-adhesive foam over the length of the bug to make sure it all stays stuck together. (pic b)
- Cut two bobbly antennae out of green foam and fix to the head so they stick out of the top. Add a button nose, smiley mouth and wiggle-eyes to complete the face. (pic c)
- Use a hole punch to make lots of spots out of some self-adhesive foam and then stick them all over the caterpillar’s body. (pic d)
- Make more puppets by cutting out shapes and layering together to make different characters for your play. Have fun acting out your story with these cute creatures!
