1. Sketch in eyes, eyebrows, hair and a serpent headdress onto the front of the mask with a pencil.
  2. Use blue acrylic paint to colour the hair and leave to dry. Draw in the eyeliner and hair lines with a black fibre tip pen. (pic a)
  3. Paint the face of the Pharaoh with gold paint and add bright jewel colours to the body of the snake.
  4. Use a gold glass outliner to outline the headdress and serpent and fill in thickly to make it 3D. Leave to dry completely. (pic b)
  5. Cut a beard shape from blue foam and place crossed, narrow strips of double sided tape onto it, wrapping them round to the back.
  6. Stick four or five lengths of black cord onto the tape and round the back. Cover the back with a piece of sticky foam and glue to the chin of the mask. (pic c)
