- Cut two 8cm squares of felt. Cut a pair of 7cm squares in a different colour, another pair of 6cm squares and so on until the squares are 3cm.
- Pair up the squares and sew along three sides on each pair with a small running stitch. (pic a)
- Lightly stuff the bags with fibre filling and stitch along the top edges to close. (pic b)
- Knot a piece of strong cotton and thread through the centre of the largest square.
- Stack the squares in decreasing size and thread onto the cotton one-by-one. (pic c)
- Pull the thread, but not too tightly, and make a stitch in the top square to secure. Thread several beads onto the cotton and stitch into a loop for hanging. (pic d)
