- Cut a strip of card 7cm wide by 18cm long and score in half. Make another score line 4cm from one end and 4cm from the fold. Cut two more pieces of card 4cm by 7cm and stick to either side of the main piece with tape to make a flattened box. (pic a)
- Draw around the shape onto the back of a piece of self-adhesive felt and cut out, leaving four flaps of felt to use for sticking the sides of the box together. (pic b)
- Peel off the backing from the felt and stick to the card template, bending up the sides and using the flaps to hold the box together.
- Cut a strip of contrasting felt 1cm wide and wrap around the top edge of the box to make the joins even more secure. Use a shorter piece of felt strip to make a tab on the lid of the box to help it open. (pic c)
- Pick a felt daisy in a contrasting colour and glue a small button in the centre. Stick this to the top of the lid. (pic d)
- Glue small buttons inside larger buttons and fix these around the sides of the box for more decoration.
