- Take a ping-pong ball sized piece of model magic and roll into a fat sausage. Flatten the top and bottom and mould into a bird shape with a pointed beak. (pic a)
- Roll out more clay with a rolling pin and fold in half over a small piece of paper. Draw a wing shape onto the clay and cut out with scissors. Peel the two wings apart from either side of the paper. (pic b)
- Cut a tail piece from flattened model magic and mark this with a pen lid to make feathers. Continue making feathers all over the tail, wings, breast and head of the robin before sticking the pieces together. (pic c)
- Make little feet shaped from half a yellow pipe cleaner and push the stems into the body of the bird. Leave the figure to dry completely. (pic d)
- Paint the robin with brown and red acrylic paint and the beak in black. Add two tiny wiggle-eyes either side of the head.
