1. Apply gold paint to the front of a large craft frame using a small piece of sponge to create a mottled effect.
  2. Cut a 10cm square of iridescent film and spread a thin layer of PVA glue all over the surface. Cut a square of coloured tissue, crumple and flatten and place on the glue.
  3. Brush more PVA glue over the tissue and lay a different colour of crumpled paper over the top and smooth flat. Leave to dry. (pic a)
  4. Cut some leaf shapes from card and use as templates to draw around onto the dried tissue layers. Cut out the shapes with small scissors. (pic b)
  5. Fold the cut out leaves to create a veined pattern so they become three dimensional. Long narrow leaves need only one crease down the centre. (pic c)
  6. Glue the leaves to the frame with more PVA glue by spreading glue on the edges of the creases and overlapping the leaves. (pic d)
