- Cut out a heart shaped template and draw around this several times onto white, pink and red card. Cut out with scissors. (pic a)
- Mark five dots on one straight side of a heart, 1.5cm apart. Stack three or four hearts together and punch holes through the marks. (pic b)
- Glue two pairs of hearts together to make the covers and decide how many pages you’d like in your book.
- Brush PVA glue around the edge of the front cover and press small sequins onto the glue to make a sparkling border. Leave to dry. (pic c)
- Stack the pages and covers so the holes line up. Thread a double thickness of cord through each hole and tie in a double knot around a pencil. Trim the ends neatly and pull out the pencil. (pic d)
- Decorate the cover with a flower made from buttons and gemstones and fill the pages with pictures, poems and other decorations.
