- Draw around our kangaroo template onto brown self-adhesive foam. Flip the template over and draw a second mirror image. Cut out the two halves of the kangaroo. Draw round and cut out two inner pieces and two ears from plain brown foam (see template). (pic a)
- Peel away some of the backing paper from the front of one half of the kangaroo. Fix the inner piece in place, lining up the arm and leg accurately. Fix one ear inner into position. (pic b)
- Do the same for the other half before peeling away the rest of the backing paper and fixing the two halves together by the head, spine and tail. Fold out the inside of the kangaroo so he stands up. (pic c)
- Print out an Australian flag – or draw your own – and mount onto a piece of card. Ask an adult to cut a skewer in half, and fix the flag to this using double sided tape before fixing the skewer to the kangaroo’s arm with a piece of brown self-adhesive foam. Add wiggle-eyes to finish. (pic d)
