1. Cut a piece of self-adhesive foam 14cm by 17cm and fix this around the rolled up tube of the kaleidoscope leaving about 1cm of cardboard showing at each end. (pic a)
  2. Cut some 1cm wide strips from different coloured self-adhesive foam. Wrap a strip at one end of the tube and a second one 3cm from this. (pic b)
  3. Add foam to the other end of the tube and stick some glittery border stickers between the two pairs of foam strips.
  4. Measure the depth of the caps for the ends of the kaleidoscope and cut sticky foam strips the same size. Wrap these around the caps and trim at the ends. (pic c)
  5. Fill the bigger end cap with the coloured shapes and place the clear disc over the top. Fit the cap to one end of the tube.
  6. Tape the mirror sheet into a triangle and slide into the tube. Place the smaller cap over the kaleidoscope. (pic d)
