- Make two circles approximately 12.5cm in diameter from blue felt by drawing round a CD cover or a small plate. Carefully cut out the circles. (pic a)
- Using PVA glue or glue dots, stick the two circles together (with the pen or pencil lines on the inside). Leave about 12cm for the opening. (pic b)
- Cut out three pointy ‘grass’ shapes from self-adhesive green felt . Draw then cut out chick ‘feet’ and a triangular ‘beak’ from orange felt.
- To make the chick, stick a small 2cm pom-pom onto a larger 3cm pom-pom using glue dots or PVA glue. Stick the orange felt beak and legs onto the pom-pom body and finish off by attaching the wiggle-eye. (pic c)
- Using glue dots or PVA glue attach your chick to the centre of the blue felt egg cosy.
- Finish by fixing the self-adhesive felt ‘grass’ around the chick and the felt flowers to the top of the egg cosy. (pic d)
