- Paint a narrow piece of dowel or small garden cane with bright red acrylic paint and leave to dry.
- Draw two concentric circles onto a piece of yellow foam. Cut down to the middle ring to make a sunburst shape and make a small hole in the centre so it can be threaded onto the stick. (pic a)
- Cut a circle of self-adhesive red foam and a hat and face shape from plain red foam. Fix the two pieces either side of the cane above the collar. (pic b)
- Thread the bells onto narrow gauze ribbon and knot tightly. Attach the ends of the ribbon onto a disc of self-adhesive red foam. (pic c)
- Stick another red disc over the top of the ribbon and make a hole in the middle. Push this up the stick to sit below the collar. (pic d)
- Decorate the head and hat with wiggle-eyes and shapes cut out from self-adhesive foam.
