1. Take equal pieces of pink, white and blue clay and roll into sausages. Twist the pieces together and roll between your hands several times to blend the clay into a lilac shade. (pic a)
  2. Use a quarter of this clay to make a sausage for the feet. Bend the clay into a curve, flatten the ends and mark the paws with a fingernail. (pic b)
  3. Use another quarter to make a second sausage for the arms. Shape in the same way and place on top of the feet.
  4. Mix some white and red clay to make pink. Roll into a sausage and bend in half to make a heart shape. Put the heart between the arms and fold the limbs in to hold it in place.
  5. Take a little lilac clay to make two ears. Roll the rest into a ball and use your fingers to squeeze one side into a face shape. Add the ears to the top. (pic c)
  6. Put the head above the heart and blend the back of the head to the limbs. Add black features and bake for 30 minutes at 110°C. (pic d)
