1. Cut out a large heart shape from a piece of scrap card to make a template. Using this as a guide, cut out two heart shapes from pink felt. Cut out eyes from black and white felt and sew these onto the middle of one heart shape. Cut out small red hearts and a mouth shape and stitch in place onto the heart shape. (pic a)
  2. Cut out two pairs of arms and two pairs of legs from white felt. Sew little red felt hearts to one shape from each pair of limbs using running stitch. (pic b)
  3. Pair up the arms and legs and sew together around the edge, leaving the end of each limb open.
  4. Stuff the arms and legs with fibre stuffing (use a pencil to help push down the stuffing). Pair up the large hearts and begin sewing them together around the edge starting near the top. (pic c)
  5. Stitch the padded limbs in place around the edge of the heart using running stitch as you continue sewing up the toy. (pic d)
  6. Before you finish sewing the toy together fill it with fibre stuffing through the gap and then close it up by stitching around the edge.

I am so pleased to receive your details, although I do get the Baker Ross Catalogues. I jointly run an anuual event here at Troston in the church on Easter Saturday. It attracts lots of people, mostly children, from all over East Anglia and I am keen to provide and expand ideas for involving the children. I think you have alerted me to all sorts of ideas, thank you. Our existing face painting goes down well as does the egg hunt, but we need much much more.I will speak with my committee and come back to you soon so that we can prepare ourselves in time.
Thank you again & good luck
    David
