- Draw a simple flower shape on the top of the box lid and use Deco paint pens or paints to colour the shape, border and edge of the lid in different colours. (pic a)
- Draw two lines around the base of the box to use as guides and paint stripes of different colours on the outside.
- Draw another flower inside the base of the box, colour in and outline with little dots of colour. Paint the rest of the inside in gold. (pic b)
- Make a hole in the base of the box at the top of a petal with a darning needle and knot a loop of gold thread through.
- Do the same with the lid of the box then make holes on the opposite sides of each piece so they can be tied together with another length of thread. (pic c)
- Decorate the two pieces with stick-on wooden shapes and fix a shape either side of the bottom thread so they dangle down. (pic d)
