- Cut 4 pairs of slots in the cover of the notebook. They should be 2cm long and 1cm apart. You’ll need two across the top edge and two down the right side. Check the photo to see where.
- Cut two strips of foam 2cm wide by 13cm long. Cut one end into a curve and thread them both through the slots on the right edge of the cover. (pic a)
- Cut two squares of self-adhesive foam and use these to secure the ends of the strips to the back cover. These strips will form the pen holder. (pic b)
- Cut a frame from the middle of an 8cm square of self-adhesive foam. Cut a 6cm square of different coloured foam with a 6cm long tab sticking out from one side of this.
- Fix the smaller square inside the frame and cut out the middle so it makes a border on the inside. Thread the tab through the slot in the cover and stick the frame down. (pic c)
- Make a keyfob from another strip of foam that slots through the cover and attach a split metal ring to it with a long bone-shaped piece of self-adhesive foam. Decorate the notebook with different coloured foam stars. (pic d)
