- Cut out two heart shapes and a strip approximately 1.5cm x 22cm long in red felt. Cut out a smaller heart shape in white self-adhesive felt. (pic a)
- Stick the white heart onto one of the red hearts and stick a yellow felt flower on top.
- Decorate the yellow flower, the white heart and the red heart with red and white sequins before placing the two red heart shapes together. (pic b)
- Thread a large darning needle with wool or embroidery thread. Hold the two heart shapes together and starting at one side of the top of the heart stitch together using blanket stitch or slip stitch. If this is too difficult you can use PVA glue, glue line or glue dots. (pic c)
- Continue stitching but make sure you leave a gap of approx 10cm across the top for the heart ‘bag’ opening.
- To make the handle glue the ends of the felt strip and stick inside both sides of the top of the heart bag. Fill the bag with treats and other goodies. (pic d)
