1. Cut six different colours of tissue paper into 12cm squares. Stack up the squares, alternating the colours and cut into four smaller squares. (pic a)
  2. Cutting several small squares at once, make circles from the tissue. Fold each circle in half and gently gather up the folded side. (pic b & c)
  3. Pierce the gathers with a darning needle threaded with coloured stretchy cord with a bead tied to the end. (pic d)
  4. Thread on two more gathered circles and fan them out to make a complete circle.
  5. Add a coloured bead before threading on three more tissue paper pieces.
  6. Continue in this way until the garland is long enough to fit over your head and tie the two ends of elastic together.
