- Cut three tinsel pipe cleaners in half using old scissors. Take each piece and bend over 5mm at one end. Starting from the bent end, wrap tightly around the handle of a thin paintbrush or a knitting needle, keeping 1cm at the bottom straight. (pic a)
- Wrap some double sided tape around the blunt end of a pencil. Press the straight ends of the twisted pipe cleaners against the tape. Cut a fourth pipe cleaner into five pieces and arrange these between the twisty bits. (pic b)
- Cut a 2cm wide strip of blue sticky foam, and use to wrap around the base of the pipe cleaners holding them in place. Bend out the twisted wires into curves but keep the untwisted pieces sticking straight up. (pic c)
- Cut ten circles or stars from glitter sheets. Fix a shape onto one straight pipe cleaner and place another matching shape behind to hold it in place. Repeat for the other straight pieces of pipe cleaner. (pic d)
