1. Roll out a piece of white Fimo onto a baking sheet. Press the rim of a round votive into the clay to leave a ridge then remove. Cut around the outside of the ridge and bake the disc for 10 minutes in a low oven at 110°C/230°F. (pic a)
  2. Remove the disc and leave to cool before turning it over. Roll out some pink, white, yellow and blue Fimo. Use a small circle cutter to make lots of little discs from all these colours. Lay the discs on top of the lid in a symmetrical pattern to resemble icing (as shown) and finish with a pink Fimo cherry on top. (pic b)
  3. Roll out some more pink, yellow and blue Fimo and cut into 5mm wide strips. Lay alternating colours in stripes down the side of a round votive, trimming away the excess at the top and base. (pic c)
  4. Cut another long thin strip of pink clay and wrap this around the top of the votive to neaten the edge. Bake the jar and lid for 30 minutes at 110°C/230°F and leave to cool down slowly in the warm oven before fitting the lid over the jar. (pic d)
