1. Mix up some pink acrylic paint and cover the front of the dreamcatcher frame with two coats of paint. (pic a)
  2. Paint the centre piece of the dreamcatcher in a darker shade of pink and lay the two pieces flat on a table in the position they will be threaded together.
  3. Tape a length of pink stretchy cord to the back of the frame and begin joining the centre piece to it by threading through the holes. Tie a bead onto your thread every other hole and tie the ends of the thread together at the end. (pic b)
  4. Cut the fluffy part of a white feather in half along the quill and glue the halves in a circle to the centre of a large pink foam heart. Cover the centre with a stack of layered hearts in other colours. (pic c)
  5. Knot a piece of cord and thread two beads onto it. Put some glue on the end of a feather and push it through the beads on the same side as the knot.
  6. Leave to dry before adding foam hearts and more beads to the cord. Tie the feathered cords to the bottom of the dreamcatcher frame. (pic d)
