- Cut out a rectangle of yellow felt 11cm by 15cm. Turn over 1cm at the top and bottom and use running stitch to sew a channel along both edges. (pic a)
- Cut out a cupcake case shape from orange felt and use pink thread to sew up lines to look like the creases. Cut out an iced cake shape from pink felt and neatly stitch the case to the bottom of this. (pics b &c)
- Sew a red felt cherry to the top of the icing. Add cross stitches and dashes in white and yellow thread to look like cake sprinkles. Sew the finished cake to the middle of the yellow wall hanging. (pic d)
- Use dowels or cut the pointed ends off two wooden skewers, then thread through the channels. Tie a bow in the middle of a piece of wide ribbon and trim the ends neatly. Wrap each end around the top skewer or dowel and sew in place to secure. The picture can now be hung up.
