- Sketch your chosen character onto a wooden person bookmark using a pencil. Use acrylic paint to colour in the design, starting with the main areas and adding detail with a fine brush. (pic a)
- For the strongman, cut out a pair of dumbbells from black foam and use white acrylic to paint the weights on each side. Fix to his arms using PVA glue. (pic b)
- For the lion tamer, make a whip from a thin strip of black foam with a length of black embroidery thread tied to one end. Add a black foam top hat using a piece of double sided tape. (pic c)
- For the clown, cut a 9cm diameter ring of red foam and glue to his back. Add multicoloured mini pom-poms around the ring to look like balls and fix three down his front. (pic d)
