- Draw a 7.5cm diameter circle on the back of two different colours of self adhesive foam and cut out. (pic a)
- Cut a length of gold cord and tie into a loop. Sandwich this loop between the two discs. (pic b)
- Cut a smaller disc from a different colour of foam with decorative edged scissors and cut a heart from the centre. Fix this to one side of the chromatrope. (pic c)
- Cut a different colour heart shape from sticky foam. Flip the disc over and place the heart on the other side in the same position as before.
- Use PVA Glue to stick sequins around the outside of the heart and leave to dry. (pic d)
- To make the chromatrope work hold the ends of the cord loop between your thumbs and first fingers and rub so the cord twists and the disc spins.
