- Cut two wide dress shapes from brightly coloured card. On the back of one place a strip of double-sided tape and fix a 3cm by 21cm strip of cellophane onto this, making gathers as you go along.
- Place another length of double-sided tape over this and stick a wider, different colour of cellophane strip on top in the same way. Repeat this for two more, wider strips. (pic a)
- Cut a 10cm by 30cm piece of iridescent foil and gather this onto double-sided tape stuck across the front of the dress at the waistband. Cover the gathers with iridescent stars.
- Stick the two dress pieces together on one side. Place the wooden spoon inside the dress before sticking together at the other side. Add card hands to each sleeve. (pic b)
- Cut fairy wings from silver card and decorate with more stars. Fix these to the back of the dress with double-sided tape. (pic c)
- Make a tiara by twisting metallic beads onto a silver tinsel pipe-cleaner. Paint the fairy’s face and hair and add a little glitter. Leave to dry and twist the tiara around her head. (pic d)
