Fold a piece of A5 card in half to make a blank. Cut two pieces of different coloured card, 10cm by 14cm. Glue a smaller rectangle of glitter card to one side of each of these pieces before fixing inside the card, either side of the fold. (pic a)

Decorate the front of the card with panels of coloured card and some stickers. Fold a rectangle of orange card in half and draw an egg shape with a 1cm tab protruding from the curved side (use our template). Cut out and open up before folding the tabs behind the egg. (pic b)

Cut some strips of glitter card, fold in half and glue across the egg shape so the folds are in the same place. Add more decoration with lots of small circles of coloured card fixed either side of the strips. (pic c)

Lay the card flat and place some felt egg stickers along each bottom edge. Place small pieces of double sided tape on the tabs of the egg and fix to the card so the fold down the centre of the egg lines up with the fold on the card blank. (pic d)

Roll up the cardboard cone from the pack and secure with sticky tape. Fix the foam triangles to the sides of the cones, alternating the colours. (pic a)

Cut some strips of yellow self-adhesive foam about 1cm wide and wrap these around the base and top of the cone to decorate and neaten the edge. Glue some gold sequins either side of the yellow strips to decorate. (pic b)

Cut two chick shapes from yellow self-adhesive foam and two wings from plain orange foam. Remove the backing paper from one chick shape and lay the stick down the middle. (pic c)

Fix the wings to each side of the body before covering the stick and body with the other self-adhesive chick shape. Stick on wiggle-eyes and a foam beak and decorate the wings with more gold sequins. (pic d)

Add some more balls of Fimo for extra decoration. Bake the egg in the oven for 30 minutes on a very low heat (see manufacturer’s instructions).

When cool, lift from the baking tray and thread a length of narrow ribbon through the hole. Try making several different colours for a decorative display!

Paint a wooden coaster with two coats of yellow acrylic paint and leave to dry. Fix a border of small flower jewels around the edge of the coaster. (pic a)

Cut some long leaf shapes from green sticky foam and place in the centre of the coaster. Cut three five petalled flowers from orange sticky foam and make a small hole in the centre of each one. (pic b)

Make three strips of yellow foam, 2cm by 4cm, and cut a long fringe in one side of each.

Roll the fringes up and poke through the holes in the flowers, securing with some PVA. When the glue is dry, fix the flowers to the coaster. (pic c)

Cut a disc of red sticky felt the same size as the coaster and fix lots of ribbon around the edge. (pic d)

Add a ribbon loop for hanging and fix the felt disc to the back of the coaster.
