Punch two small holes in each side of the gift bag, inside the handles. Assemble the bag by folding in the tabs at the base. (pic a)

Cut a 6cm diameter circle of self-adhesive blue foam. Cut a 1cm wide strip of green self-adhesive foam and cut a fringe in one side of it. Fix the fringe behind the blue circle. (pic b)

Stick the fringed circle to the centre of one side of the bag. Add a small green foam disc to the middle and glue on some assorted white buttons. (pic c)

Cut two 3cm circles of self-adhesive foam. Glue buttons to both discs and then sandwich the end of a length of narrow ribbon between them. Thread the other end of the ribbon through the holes in the bag to tie it closed. (pic d)

Paint alternating stripes in three different colours around a glass votive and leave to dry. (pic a)

Paint the same stripy pattern across a mini porcelain frame so that they match. (pic b)

Fix a small piece of coloured cellophane behind the wing area of a butterfly sticker and cut around the edge, leaving the middle body piece  – thorax and abdomen – uncovered. (pic c)

Fix cellophane butterflies to the dried votive and frame using the sticky body area. Add smaller stickers for extra decoration. (pic d)

Thread some clear round beads onto cocktail sticks – you may need to wrap a little tape around the stick to hold them tight. Use glass pens to colour in the beads and then poke the end of the stick into a polystyrene shape to let dry. Once dry, add some dots of metallic paint. (pics a & b)

Lay the clear flat beads onto a piece of white paper and draw a simple design on each. When this is dry, colour in the background. Repeat on the other side of the bead. (pic c)

Cut two short pieces of narrow ribbon. Cut a 10cm piece of elastic and thread both ends through a flat bead to make a loop at one end. Pass the ribbon through the loop and pull the elastic tight so the ribbons get pulled into the end of the bead. Repeat for the other flat beads.

Decide how your beads will be arranged on the bracelet. Cut a 30cm piece of elastic and fix a piece of tape 5cm from one end. Thread two round beads onto the elastic and then tie a flat bead next to them using the loose ends of the elastic. Carry on adding round and flat beads, weaving the ends of the elastic ties into the next beads along to neaten. Remove the tape once the bracelet is big enough and tie the two ends together. (pic d)

Cut a piece of black foam 21cm by 11cm and fold 7.5cm up from the short edge. Fold the top 5.5cm down and punch two holes in this part, 1.5cm from the edge and 6cm apart.

Thread a 30cm piece of stretchy cord through the holes and knot together on the inside of the wallet. (pic a)

Draw a skull and crossbones onto red foam and cut out. (pic b)

Refold the black foam and use PVA to glue the skull to the centre of the top flap and the crossbones to the part underneath. Leave to dry completely. (pic c)

Cut two pieces of red foam, 6cm by 11cm. Position inside the wallet and lightly glue along the shorter edges of each to hold in place for stitching.

Use a double thickness of thread and over-sew around the edges to form pockets inside the wallet. Use the stretchy cord to loop around the wallet and hold it closed. (pic d)

Draw different sized circles onto brightly coloured self-adhesive foam and cut out with scissors. (pic a)

Thread alphabet beads onto a length of coloured stretchy cord, making knots between words if necessary.

Hold the end beads on the string in place by pushing two more short lengths into the holes with a bit of glue, then trim the ends to different lengths. (pic b)

Stick the words onto layered stacks of foam circles. Add holes around the edge of the larger circle and thread short pieces of cord through to make decorative tassels. (pic c)

Add beads and bells threaded onto cord to the zip-pull and add gems to your stickers for extra sparkle.

Peel away the backing paper from the stickers and fix to your pencil case. When you wish to try a new design you can peel them off and make some more. (pic d)

Cut a 20cm long piece of white elastic and thread nine purple flower beads onto it. (pic a)

Thread a split metal ring onto the elastic and then tie tightly into a loop using three or four knots. (pic b)

Cut another 20cm piece of elastic and thread through the purple flower loop. Thread nine orange flower beads onto it. (pic c)

Tie the elastic tightly to make a loop of orange beads. You are now making a pretty chain!

Continue making a chain of loops in this way using the same number of different coloured beads each time. (pic d)

Once the chain is seven loops long check all the knots are really tight. Trim the ends of the elastic and put a dab of PVA Glue onto each knot to ensure they don’t come undone.

Paint a round wooden coaster with green acrylic and let dry. Cut out a tree shape with a wide trunk and branches from brown self-adhesive foam.

Stick this to a second piece of brown self-adhesive foam so that 1.5cm of the trunk hangs over the edge and cut around the shape. (pic a)

Place the tree foam side up on the back of another piece of sticky foam and trace round it. Cut out and make it thicker as before (follow step 2). (pic b)

Cut out several leaves from green foam. Stick a leaf to the end of each branch on one tree. (pic c)

Remove the backing paper from the other tree and fix the two shapes together so the leaves are enclosed and the base of the trunk can be splayed out to stick to the green coaster. (pic d)

Use flower stickers to cover the base of the tree. Cut out a tiny multicoloured bird from sticky foam and place in the centre of the tree.

Cut a piece of A4 card in half and roll one piece into a tall tube. Tape in place. (pic a)

From the other piece of card cut a semi-circle to form the top of the castle turret and a circle 2cm wider than the diameter of the tube. Cut small triangles from the edge of the circle. (pic b)

Bend the edges of the circle of card up and glue or tape to one end of the tube to form the base.

Glue craft sticks around the tube in two rows to cover the whole of the tower and paint with two coats of pearlised acrylic paint. (pic c)

Cut lots of 1.5cm x 1cm rectangles of  paper in three co-ordinating colours.  Starting from the base of the  cone glue them on to form roof tiles, overlapping the row below. (pic d)

Make a hole in each side of the cone and thread cord through, gluing the ends inside the tower so that the  roof can be removed while the base is still hanging up.

Open out a gift bag and refold it so that the sides stick out when laid flat. Fold the bag across the width so the top edge lines up with the fold at the base.

Draw a line 2.5cm down from the top edge. Cut slits 3cm wide in the folded thickness of the bag up as far as this line. Unfold the bag and rub out the pencil line. Cut some pieces of card 3cm wide and glue together to make long strips. (pic a)

Weave a long strip through the slits in the bag, folding it at the sides so the bag will open properly once finished. Continue weaving on the other side. Glue the strip neatly where it joins up and push it down towards the bottom of the bag. (pic b)

Take a different coloured strip and weave it though above the first strip so the bag becomes more solid. Make sure you fold the strip at the sides or the bag will not open properly when you’ve finished. (pic c)

Weave the top strip next as it will be easier to weave a strip in the centre of the bag last and there will be less chance of tearing the bag. Finish the weaving and open out the bag again.

Cut some flower and leaf shapes from coloured card and curl the petals by pulling them over the blade of a pair of scissors. Glue the flowers to the front of the bag to decorate. (pic d)

Score a piece of A4 card 6cm in from both long edges and 2cm, 7cm and 13cm in from both short sides to leave a 4cm wide middle section.

Cut along the score lines to the intersections and create tabs for folding on the sides of the walls and one roof section. (pic a)

Cut a chimney piece on the opposite roof section and slots in the middles of the centre sections. Cut the roof side tab down to 5cm long.

Cut lots of little squares and rectangles from light green card and glue onto darker green to make doors and windows. Cut these out leaving a 1mm border all around. (pic b)

Fold up the box and check the squares at the side of the roof fit neatly into the slots. Glue windows and doors to the house and then unfold.

Cut out lots of coloured circles and stick these to the roof sections so they overlap. Trim the tiles to the top of the roof. Refold the box and hold the sides together with a little double sided tape. (pic c)
