- Sketch cheek lines that go up to the nose, and a heart shaped forehead onto your mask and cut away these pieces with scissors. (pic a)
- Paint your mask with two coats of acrylic paint. While this is drying cut a five pointed star about 10cm wide from pink self adhesive felt.
- Fix the star over one eye and cut through it into the eye hole. Snip the felt to the edges of the hole and fold the excess inside the mask. (pic b)
- Trim the ends of some feathers into a neat point. Cut two 4cm diameter circles of red sticky felt and fix a small pink felt star to the top of each.
- Fix the feathers to the back of the discs to form a fan shape. You might need to add a layer of doublesided tape over the quills of the first few shorter feathers so you can make a second layer of longer ones. (pic c)
- Add some more small felt stars to the face of the masks and fix the feathery discs to each side so they will cover your ears. Stick lots of gemstones to the edges of the mask with PVA and make eyelashes with oval shaped stones. (pic d)
