1. Make a paper template of an elongated oval shape for the penguin’s body (use our template).
  2. Pin this to a double layer of black felt and cut out. (pic a)
  3. Cut a piece of white felt for the face and bib of the penguin and stitch a small orange triangle to this as a beak.
  4. Sew the bib to the centre of one piece of black felt with a small running stitch. (pic b)
  5. Add wiggle-eyes to the face and cut out two small orange felt feet. Pin the two body pieces together, sandwiching the feet between them and sew up. (pic c)
  6. Stop sewing when you have a 3cm gap left. Stuff the penguin with fibre filling and close up the hole. (pic d)

    Hi,

We’ve added a template to this cute Bouncing Penguin, so should now be a little easier to make.

    Have fun!
