- Paint a ceramic trinket basket with two coats of bright blue acrylic paint and leave to dry. Decorate the basket with dots and flowers of pearlised glitter porcelain paint. (pic a)
- Cut a piece of felt 1.5cm wide by 10cm long. Cut a narrower piece of card and fold this in half length ways. Wrap the felt around the card and use a running stitch to hold it in place so the card stiffens the stem. (pic b)
- Cut a piece of pink felt 3cm wide by 20cm long. Cut one long edge into petal shapes and stitch along the straight edge with a running stitch.
- Gather up the pink felt by pulling the running stitch tightly so the felt begins to curl into a spiral. (pic c)
- Wrap the spiral around one end of the stem and stitch the resulting flower in place. Add a green leaf cut out from felt to the stem and make another flower for the other end as before. (pic d)
- Make two more double ended flower stems and fold in half so they can fit into the basket. Decorate the handle with a ribbon bow.
